It's been years since I sold
my Skyline GTR to it's new owner, but I still dream about driving it down those long country roads with the windows down and the sound of blow-off's and backfire roaring behind me. What a pleasure it had been to drive that car. I remember the day I bought it, it was completely stock, in the photo below.
The day I picked it up, it looked exactly like the first picture, the Kyosho 1:18 scale model of a Nissan Skyline GTR (BNR32).
That's why I jumped on the opportunity to snatch up that red Kyosho when I finally found one on Yahoo Auctions Japan, a quick email over to Adam from Feast Autogroup Japan and he was able to secure the item for me! It arrived from Japan by post a few days later.
When I got it opened and started looking more closely at it I was blown away by the level of detail on these Kyosho cars! Take a look at the below pictures of the Kyosho model and compare it to the real deal of pictures I took of my car while it was still in original stock condition.
Here's a couple of the more that really show the incredible detail in this model, can you tell which one is the REAL car and which one is the model?

The seats are actually made of a fabric material that feels very similar to the real deal, they even move to fold forward! The engine compartment is identical, down to the warning stickers.

There's even more very cool realistic parts to this little model, it has a rear trunk carpet, when you lift up the carpet there is a spare tire!

The one area I noticed something interesting was on the brake options included, they aren't the Brembo calipers but I recognize those drilled Brembo discs which were more commonly used on the N1 variations of these cars.

Here are some detailed shots of the underside of the model, it's also very interesting that all the suspension parts move and seem to function just like the real car does! Ball joins, tie rod ends and springs all move and as far as I can tell the actual assemblies are spot on accurate.
