But The FED Lives again!...
After our massive blow up 4 days ago on Sunday at Meremere where a rod came out the side of the block and caused massive damage to alot of expensive parts, I'm happy to say after countless hours we are all back together with a new motor made up of all sorts of used parts, hopefully it will do us proud on Sunday at the 2nd round of the NZDRA championship which we currently lead.

While giving the new motor some more running and load on Friday the 4th Feb 2011 before the Northern Nations we decided to test the Co2 injection we have on the turbine housing, with just 800psi and a small jet we are getting very promising results, looks like its going to work well.

I have some tubes of JB weld I can EMS to you. I see on the tube, it can be used to fix blocks.

Where exactly are you injecting the CO2 in the exhaust? It's obviously pre-turbo, but exactly where is hard to tell in the video.

Are you not worried about thermal shock to the turbine blades with the cold CO2 hitting the turbine blades, or is it far enough away you don't think you'll have a problem with it? Have you measure the exhaust pressure when you're spraying? Is it high enough to cause reversion?

I've considered this concept before on my personal vehicle, but since I'm in a more daily driving/weekend warrior application, I ditched it. It does seem to be working for you though.

you can see it in the first vid. The bloke doing the voice over says "directly into the turbine housing" so no into the mani etc but it's jet looks to be mounted into the turbine housing itself. you can pretty well see where it is in the first video. :)

engine looks and sounds fantastic. good luck. :)

The Co2 worked great, we could easily get up on boost in time for a full tree, we'll definatly look to use this method more often from now, its just so simple and cheap to run compared to NOS.

This looks cool.
Could you post some pictures or video where you explain this system? Why co2 and not Air?

When running such a system i guess it only last for a run or so to get the turbo spooling, since ure dragracing, and then the pressure tank is empty?
